This position is responsible for the release of Baan production orders to satisfy both the schedule requirements and build capability on various production items.
This requires a high level of involvement with the Supervisor, Value Stream Coordinator, Material Planning, Master Scheduler, and the production work force to understand the timing of release of these assemblies.
Participate in daily work center meeting where the direction and priority is established.
Works under specific direction from Team Lead and/or VSM.
Work directly with qualified production control technician.
Work is reviewed upon completion.
Accountable for accurately creating, maintaining, releasing and reconciling production orders per the production schedule.
Routine job duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Basic recognition of Bill Of Materials issues, ability to analyze order variance, aged WIP, material shortages and alternates.
Working consistently with supervision and Engineering on solutions to day-to-day problems.
Work closely with project management, engineers, team leads, technicians, material planners, Master Scheduler to analyze and monitor production material needs.
Review and identify material shortages and load into the material shortage spreadsheet seven days out per the production schedule.
Caterpillar:
Confidential Green Work with engineering to resolve NCMR's and release rework orders and resolve bill of material issues.
Reconcile production orders (aged WIP) within 10 days of delivery.
Provide backup support for the material staging area.
This support will require the production planners to stage the material for the build pits.
Minimum
Qualifications:
1
years experience in production systems (BaaN, excel, MS applications) in a manufacturing or remanufacturing environment, preferably turbo machinery.
Basic knowledge of well-established, standard professional principles, theories and concepts of CPS principles, Baan system, Production processes, material movement, warehousing and logistics.
Must be capable of:
oLifting/moving of parts weighing up to 25 lbs.
oSitting for prolonged periods of time with frequent breaks.
oView computer screen for prolonged hours with frequent breaksInterface with internal, external suppliers and customers.
Preferred
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have 2
years production planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience as a production planner or warehouse role using BaaN.
Previous industrial gas turbine production experience or solid product knowledge related to Solar's business.
Proficient skills in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
